Hotel Policies

Normal registration time is from 3PM to 7PM.  If you will be arriving after 7:00PM , please let us know in advance so that we can leave late arrival instructions for you. Check-out time is 12PM.   Also, if you have any dietary restrictions, please give us a call to alert us as to your needs.

 The Secret Garden Inn & Cottages is a Non-Smoking Facility. There is a $100.00 per day charge for those Guests who smoke in the rooms or on the decks . Candles are not allowed in the rooms or on the decks.  Bubble bath and other additives may not be used in our hot tubs. Pets and children are not allowed in the hot tubs.  No pets are allowed in the main building or patio dining area.

We are happy to have your guests for breakfast or wine and cheese but only with advance notice and after a $ 25 charge is paid.

Directions to us :
The Secret Garden is located in the beautiful residential section of Santa Barbara. Directions are as follows :

101 Northbound ( from Los Angeles ) - Take the Arrellaga Street exit, travel two blocks, and then turn left onto Bath . 1908 Bath Street will be on your right.

101 Southbound ( from San Francisco ) - Take the Mission Street exit and turn left onto Mission, travel one block and turn right onto Castillo Street, travel one block and turn left onto Pedregosa Street, then travel one more block and turn left onto Bath. 1908 Bath Street is on your right.

Parking :
We have a parking lot in the back of the property. When you are in front of the Secret Garden, turn right on Mission Street, go to the alley Sheridan Avenue, turn right, our parking lot is the last one in the alley on the right end side.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation notice must be received in writing ( email )no later than seven (7) days before your scheduled arrival for a full refund - less a $ 25.00 processing fee - or you will be charged the full amount of your reserved stay. Guests who are "no shows" and "early departures" are responsible for the entire reservation without refund.
