This review is about sustainability! 🤗 I am so appreciative of your attention to detail when it comes to the offerings to your guest. Beyond the absolutely stunning native gardens, I love that you offer real glassware, real towels, and bathroom products that aren’t wrapped in plastic. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and it means a lot to me as a customer to support businesses that help mitigate the pollution crisis by offering reusable or circular items to their guests. So thank you for taking the lead and setting an example for how Santa Barbara businesses can operate! Being this close to the beach, it only makes sense to care for it. By way of listening the amount of plastics produced and consumed on site. Kudos to you! And absolutely lovely in that you have here. We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay. The gardens were beautiful and it was close to town. I actually used the hot tub 5 times during our stay; was great for my back. We enjoyed hiking Rattlesnake Canyon as well.
We stayed in the Oriole room for one night. It was a very nice room with a hottub. The location was great and we were very happy with the delicious breakfast in the morning.
Spent a weekend away with our two pups at the Secret Garden! Stayed in the Hummingbird suite. Super convenient location, cute gardens, and very pet friendly. The breakfast each morning was great, and the staff was lovely. The suite itself was outdated, there were some insects that enjoyed making their way inside, and we had a lot of ants in our shower. The bed seemed new but the entire room had a musty smell unfortunately and the air conditioner was the loudest unit we have ever heard, and didn't seem to cool the room at all. Sadly it made for a restless hot two night sleep.
Secret garden Inn & Cottages is a lovely place to stay at, very friendly and kind personal, excellent breakfast included in the price.
(Translated by Google) A place with old-world charm, immersed in tranquility. Delicious homemade breakfast. One area that could be improved: outlets for charging devices and a TV. (Original) Posto dal fascino antico, immerso nella quiete. Buona colazione fatta in casa. Aspetto da migliorare: prese per caricare i dispositivi e TV.
This is our second time staying at the lovely Secret Garden Inn in Santa Barbara. We always choose the Garden Inn room as it has a lovely patio that our pup, Ginger, loves to play in. The included breakfasts are a delight - incredible food and eating in the patio is a morning joy for us. We highly recommend.
Lovely 1 night stay for myself and my friend. The property is cozy and reminded us of Gilmore Girls, we loved our Cardinal room. It reminded us of our childhoods, spending time at Grandma's. The bed was SO comfy and we woke up rejuvenated. Breakfast was great as well! They delivered it right to our table outside the room where we got to enjoy the garden and sounds of birds. The quiche and croissants were super flaky and delicious 😋 We would gladly recommend this place and would love to stay again!
This was a miss for me. While one of the innkeepers was warm, welcoming, and offered excellent local tips, the other came across as unexpectedly rude and lacking in basic hospitality starting right at check-in. It created an awkward dynamic that lingered throughout our visit and left us regretting the choice to stay here. I wanted to love this place, and there are aspects that really shine - the breakfast and location are nice. But ultimately I would not return, especially with kids.
We truly LOVED staying at the Secret Garden Inn - what a wonderful place to stay on our 'honeymoon tour' after 30 years of marriage! We stayed in the Cardinal Room. The rooms were very cozy and the service and food was just perfect! We used to live in Santa Barbara 30 years ago, and never knew about this place, but are so very glad we found you!

We had a great stay in one of the cottages. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the mission and to the shopping area. Our breakfast in the garden was excellent. A lovely, quiet place to stay.
Cozy place make me fell like staying like granma house I enjoyed nice breakfast with good service
The homemade breakfast is made to order and French bistro in style. Prepared well by the staff lady who gets here at 7AM to cook for you by 8AM. We stayed two nights and ate in the garden both mornings. If you want to stay at a cozy place that feels like your Grandmas farm in the south of France, this is the place for you. Great for romantic getaways. If you are a business traveler and need flexibility with your schedule I would not book it, as they have a 7 day cancellation and they will not be flexible. The staff was always helpful and they have on site parking. A 4.5 not a 4 but they don't have that button
Really sweet bed and breakfast. Incredibly charming rooms and gardens. Feels so homey and welcoming not like a regular hotel experience. We loved the breakfasts Dominique made. Will be back soon!
Great hotel & location. Staff is very friendly and hospitable. Will definitely stay again.
We were 4 staying for 3 nights using 2 rooms. We didn’t like the stay: one of the room was in the main house. It could get quite loud. Also the bathroom has no countertop space. Quite inconvenient if you wear contact lens, need to use different products. The room only has 2 chairs. Quite uncomfortable to sit on. The other room is a stand alone cottage. It smells moldy. It has an AC for the window but it’s quite loud. All 3 day’s breakfasts are the same. I would like to pay less but go find different places for breakfasts everyday.

The rooms were great for a two-night stay and we really appreciated having breakfast delivered in the morning! It was great being able to sit outside in the morning and in the evening.
