The cottages has the countryside ambiance which is lovely. Dominique & crew are warm and hospitable during our weekend stay. Breakfast was delicious which we opted to be served on their patio - homecooked quiche, croissant, jam, coffee, and juice. Thank you Dominique for accommodating our last minute change.

I adore this little hidden treasure just blocks away from the down town area but nestled in a vintage SB neighborhood. It is quiet, and center on its block. There is plenty of parking in the rear with access via an alley. If you are familiar with Santa Barbara you know everything you need is within walking distance. I regret not bring my bicycle to leave the noisy jeep parked the majority of the time. Dominque makes an authentic European breakfast every morning with juice, coffee, fresh fruit and a frittata. All of the villas have beautiful bathing area and some have small hot tubs. I adore the vintage styling each room comes with, very tastefully done. They also all have a bird theme. The sheets are alway clean and actually have patterns on them instead of that same lame white found in every other hotel/motel. On this occasion I had an early boat trip to this island and was going to miss breakfast. While communicating this Dominque indicated a Togo option was available and would be delivered the evening before, surprised I gratefully accepted. It was beautiful with the croissant filled with egg, did I mention there is a croissant included with every breakfast….shhhhh I think they are homemade 😉 and delicious. I would book this B&B before any other in town and as a former local I have been to them all.

Got excellent service and had an amazing time staying at the Cottages. Was private and accessible to everything, which is exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely stay again next time I get to SB.

A little worn around the edges but I still give a 5 star rating because Dominique and her small crew work very hard. Room was clean, breakfast was a yummy homemade vegetable quiche, warm croissants, coffee and juice. Location was very close to all the wedding festivities we were attending. Price is very reasonable compared to other lodging options. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Thank you for your hospitality Dominique!

Had the loveliest stay in the Hummingbird cottage. Very peaceful and private, cozy amenities, and the homemade breakfast in the morning was AMAZING! Location was fantastic (I was in town for a wedding) and would definitely stay here again.

We experienced warm hospitality at Secret Garden Inn! Dominique & crew provided warm hospitality during our brief stay, including a delicious breakfast served on their patio. The entire property was gorgeous. We stayed in Cardinal and liked that it included a small living room. What prevents this being a perfect review was that the electric wiring should be updated, so that we can run our devices and make a pot of tea at the same time. We'll stay at Secret Garden during our next trip to SB.

This is a dream vacation come true! This is a family vacation and Santa Barbara is always one of my favorite travel destination. I have always wanted to stay at a B&B cottage with lovely garden. Secret garden was so fabulous! I stayed with a group of friends for a wedding and had the most wonderful time. Dominique and her team are incredibly attentive and generous. The breakfast was lovely and the garden and other amenities were great. I especially loved the fact that there was a coffee station and mini fridge in each room, plus complimentary breakfast delivery to each room (but I recommend eating in the main garden). Thank you Dominique! Can’t recommend this place enough. And one more thing- it’s within a 10 minute Uber of anywhere you want to be, plus 20 minute walk to the lovely downtown.

We enjoyed that the location was not in the middle of the touristy area. The property was well-maintained, and the room we stayed in was very lovely and perfect for us. The breakfast in the morning was delicious! The only suggestions we have to make our experience even better would be better pillows (ours were really flat!) and a less saggy bed. We would definitely return!

Restful, very nice garden.

The cottages are sweet and simple. They offer comfort and the amazing respite from cities and noise. My mother and I stayed for one night- getting pizza for dinner from a nearby restaurant that we shared on the garden table outside our room. Breakfast and coffee was brought to us at a prearranged time and we enjoyed just being relaxed without hassles. I will definitely be staying again!

We had the most amazing time at the Secret Garden! Such an intimate and homey stay. Check in was a breeze, breakfast was delicious, and even though we stayed in the main house, we felt like we had our own little oasis. If you stay here, I'd rent bikes (there are racks in the back) so you can easily get back and forth from main street. 10/10!!!

From the moment we arrived, first time stay, we were immediately impressed with the outdoor garden and the hospitality Dominique extended to us. Check in was very easy and personable as Dominique showed us around the property and room. Location was fabulous, easy walking distance to State Street and very quiet at night. We were in town for a concert which was unfortunately cancelled and a disappointment yet, that gave us more time to enjoy the property, which we did with our books in our laps in the garden area. Can't say enough good things about the breakfast and service. Will definitely be staying at the Secret Garden Inn again.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Meadowlark Room in the main house. Walking through the amazing and quiet garden was wonderful. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable, with charming furnishings and wonderful lavender soap!Everyone was very friendly, and it felt like we were staying with family. Dominique accommodated our early schedule with a delicious breakfast, and was very kind to allow us to leave our cars in the parking lot until after commencement. She and her family have done a wonderful job creating this quiet oasis in Santa Barbara.
